Mrauk U’s Stunning Sunrise 6 days / 5 nights

Day 1 Yangon – Sittwe

Early afternoon transfer to the airport for the flight to Sittwe. On arrival transfer through town to your hotel. Evening walk at leisure along the black sand beach on the seaward side of Sittwe Island. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Noble Hotel.

Day 2 Sittwe - Mrauk U

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning drive through town to Sittwe’s harbour full of the cries of seagulls and constant bustle of the town’s fishing fleet. Lunch on board a private passenger boat and spend the morning cruising on the calm waters of the Kaladan River estuary past fishermen, rice paddy and traditional Rakhine villages. On arrival in Mrauk U in the mid afternoon. Transfer to the Vesali Hotel through this former capital of ancient Rakhine. Visit Bandoola Monastery and the Sandamuni Buddha Image before sunset view from Ha Ri Hill Top. Dinner and overnight at the Vesali Hotel in Mrauk U.

Day 3 Mrauk U

Breakfast at hotel. Embark on a full day visit to Mrauk U’s archaeological zone : Shittaung Temple – the most famous sand stone carving of 16^th century, Andaw Sima, Ratana Bon and Htukkant temple – famous for the different coiffure in stone carving and their strong character. On Anuma Lake for scenic beauty, and the cultural museum in the Palace wall. Visit Khami Village to see the villagers’ exotic hand made textiles, and the famous Wuttay Buddha Image – carved from a single block of sandstone. Lunch at a local restaurant near the town market. Dinner and overnight at Vesali Resort.

Day 4 Mrauk U – Laymyo River – Mrauk U

At dawn transfer past high mist covered temples by horsecart (one hour) to Sin Oh village on the bank of the Lay Myo River. Take long tail boat up stream to Lay Thue Chin Village and visit the Chin People, to see their village life and tattoo faced women. Picnic lunch at a scenic spot on the riverbank and return to Mrauk U in late afternoon by horsecart from Sin Oh Village. Dinner and overnight at Vesali Resort in Mrauk U.

Day 5 Mrauk U – Sittwe

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning proceed to Sittwe by boat on the Kaladan River. Picnic lunch on board and visit Laung Shay Chaung Mro village where they make fantastic textiles on ancient looms. Arrive Sittwe in the mid afternoon and transfer to Noble hotel. Afternoon visit the waterfront and town, Sittwe’s 140 year old mosque and U Re Kyaw Thu monastery. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at Noble Hotel.

Day 6 Sittwe – Yangon

Breakfast at hotel. Morning walk through Sittwe’s colorful fish and vegetable market, proceed to Sittwe Buddhist Museum to see the ancient Buddha Images of Rakhine State. Lunch in town, then transfer to Sittwe Airport for flight to Yangon. On arrival in Yangon transfer to your hotel.
